We started Waxwing Cycles in 2018 out of our basement, having both acquired experience working in the bicycle industry through college and deciding it was time to make the leap to small business ownership. Since then, we’ve moved the shop a few blocks away to the (small but charming) baggage building at the Edgewood Train Station. We work hard to ensure that you get the most out of your riding through expert mechanic work and knowledgeable customer service, and we value the relationships we have developed along the way with our fellow enthusiastic bicycle people.

Our Services
Whether you ride road, gravel, triathlon, mountain or trail, all work performed at Waxwing Cycles includes the same expert installation of high quality parts and attention to detail. We operate by appointment, so please get in touch to schedule service or to come by and discuss a new bike.
tuneups
No two bicycles or riders are alike, which is why Waxwing Cycles does not do cookie-cutter tuneups. Every bicycle brought in for service is assessed, and the recommended work is discussed with you before we proceed with maintenance and repair. We also ensure that each bicycle is put through its paces on the road before being returned to you
NEW BIKES & custom builds
While we can and do sell stock builds from our bike brands, most new bikes that leave the shop are custom built from the frame up to meet the client’s wants and needs. We enjoy the process regardless of whether you have a clear vision of your new bike, or need lots of guidance. Custom builds often take longer to source and assemble, but the end product is always special and uniquely yours.
